We’ll get you back in the game.
Whether you are an elite athlete or weekend warrior, sports injuries can be a common and frustrating problem. At Wisdom Physiotherapy, we provide sports physiotherapy treatment to treat the underlying cause of your issue, to get you moving again, pain-free.
Sport players are more susceptible to injuries due to the extra stress put on their body. Many sports injuries are caused by overuse and overtraining, such as runner’s knee or tennis elbow, where the player pushes their body to the limit. However these injuries can also occur due to under-training or poor training practices.
Our physiotherapists have extensive experience with sports injuries. You will be provided with a full assessment of your movement and condition before treatment begins. Treatment commonly includes a variety of hands-on treatment (massage, mobilisation, manipulation), dry needling, and exercise rehabilitation to regain mobility, strength, and stability.
We also address the underlying causal factors such as your biomechanics, agility, power and injury prevention and ongoing management.
Common sports injuries that we treat include:
- Muscle strains – eg calf, hamstring, back
- Shoulder tendonitis / impingement / instability
- Hip and knee injuries – meniscus tears, ACL rehabilitation
- Tendon injuries
- Ankle sprains/instability
- Back pain
- Joint or ligament sprains
At Wisdom Physiotherapy, we help get you back to the sport you love, as quick as possible!
