Physio Exercise Classes
- Stretching exercises: help improve flexibility and range of motion in the joints.
- Strengthening exercises: target specific muscle groups to help build strength and improve physical function.
- Balance exercises: Thelp improve balance and coordination, which can reduce the risk of falls and other injuries.
- Cardiovascular exercises: such as rowing, or cycling, help improve cardiovascular health and overall fitness.
- Functional exercises: designed to mimic everyday activities, such as lifting objects, reaching, and bending, to help improve overall physical function.
In addition to the physical benefits, our classes can also provide social support and motivation for participants. Being part of a group can help people feel more motivated to continue with their exercise program and can provide a sense of community and camaraderie.

Balance & Bone Health Class
The Balance & Bone Health is a 60-minute circuit class using all gym equipment (bike, balls, weights, rowing) and reformers. Directed and supervised by a physiotherapist. Common outcomes you can expect from this class with us include:
- Improved posture, strength, balance, and control
- Management of arthritis or osteo conditions
- Greater resistance to injury
- Training your muscle groups to help your body work safely and more efficiently
- Optimised performance for sport or everyday activities
- Suitable for all adults, both men and women

- 7am & 8am Monday, 7.30am & 8.30am Tuesday, 7am & 8am Wednesday, 7.30 & 8.30 Thursday, and 8am Friday

There are 12 supervised exercise sessions over 6 weeks, and 2 education sessions. Each session – education and exercise – will take about 60 minutes. These sessions are run by Physiotherapists who have been trained by GLA:D® Australia.
- A 6-week exercise program with twice a week with physio supervised exercise classes plus 2 education sessions
- Designed to reduce the symptoms and discomfort of osteoarthritis in the hip and knee.
- Research and treatment guidelines suggest exercise, education and weight control are the most effective first-line treatments for osteoarthritis.
To get started with the GLAD program, you first need to have a 45 min initial assessment with one of our GLA:D certified Physiotherapists – Angela Sullivan or Vienn Chan.

Seniors Exercise Class
Our seniors classes are suitable for both men and women over the age of 70. The class incorporates a group warm-up and then you work on your individual program, supported and supervised by the physio.
- Improved posture, strength, balance, and control
- Management of arthritis or osteo conditions

- Maximum 12 per class
- 45 minutes

Pelvic Floor & Core Class
- 60 minute class
- Maximum 14 people
- Mondays & Wednesdays at 8am

What you can expect
Most people notice a substantial improvement in the way they move.
Before commencing classes, you will need to have an assessment. During this session, your physiotherapist will check your current strength and fitness levels and create a program for you. The Wisdom Physiotherapy gym is a large space with lots of gym and pilates equipment.
