Angela Sullivan – Physiotherapist
I graduated as a Physiotherapist from Curtin University over 20 years ago, and soon after I completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy.
I have over 15 years experience in Physiotherapy & Clinical Pilates, plus I trained in the Garuda Movement Method© which is a myofascial approach drawing from yoga, pilates, tai chi, and other movement methods to achieve a well-rounded approach to maintaining mobility, and builds on strength, balance, flexibility, and breath work.
I have always been interested in observing how people move and what it is that enhances ease of movement. My approach combines the manual therapy skills learned as a physiotherapist with a dedicated movement rehabilitation programme and relevant education about the presenting condition to bring
about better outcomes and well-being.
I love getting all ages moving, especially the non-elite athlete!
Special interest areas include:
- Knee and Hip Osteoarthritis
- Back pain
- Neck pain
- Sporting or recreational soft tissue injuries
- Dry needling
- GLAD hip & knee exercise classes
- Clinical Pilates
- Functional movement, strength and conditioning
- Falls prevention, balance and agility
- Myofascial release techniques
Outside of the studio I enjoy spending time with my family, getting out and about in nature, cycling, rowing, rock n roll jive dance classes, gardening, travelling and being with my dog Baxter (pictured above).
